Tutorial: How to Import DVD to Final Cut Pro 6/7 and FCP X or Final Cut Express

Step 1: Import DVD to the program. Install and run the Mac DVD to FCP Converter to load your DVD movie source.

Step 2: Select Final Cut Pro output format by clicking "Format" bar and choose Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov) as output format from the "Final Cut Pro" category.

Sep 3(Optional): Tap the Edit button to crop video file size, trim video segment, merge video files and so on to realize your needs.

Step 4: After finish the above steps, start ripping DVD to ProRes for FCP 6/7/X on Mac by clicking Convert button.

Seeking for a solution for a long time. Your post gives me some hints. What I need to is to convert DVD video to FCP favored ProRes mov format. Tired Brorsoft’s DVD ripper for Mac. Great performance.
